How often to season?

Treat your steel as if it were cast iron.  Season it around every 5 uses.

 

Do I wash it with soap after each use?

No.  If you wash it with soap you will probably have to re-season it.  Best to just use a plastic scraper.  If you have to, just use water and dry it really well.

 

What happens if it rusts?

You can use an SOS pads or Bar Keepers Friend.   Then you will have wash and re-season it.

 

How soon after cooking can I touch the steel?

You should wait overnight before touching the steel.  Steel retains heat for a long time.

 

Can I only cook pizza on steel?

No, you can cook whatever you want on it, including breads.

 

Do I need a top broiler?

No, but its recommended or else the top of the pizza wont cook quick enough.

 

How is My Pizza Steel seasoned?

It's seasoned with 100% Organic Flaxseed oil.

 

Do you ship outside of Canada?

We only ship to Canada.
